Have you always dreamed of living on the water? I have! I always thought that I would have to wait until I was at retirement age to be able to do so or be independently wealthy to do so. All I knew was that I didn´t want to spend only my golden years enjoying myself. Becoming rich over night was unlikely! I had lived in New England where the weather is always unpredictable and the winters are long. So we began our search, my husband and I started taking our vacations all over the South. After two years we discovered a town called Cape Coral located in South West Florida near the Gulf of Mexico. We were amazed by what we saw. WATER WATER EVERYWHERE! The whole town was on canals, 400 miles of them to be exact. Most of which were saltwater having access to the Gulf of Mexico from their backyards. Since we had owned our own boat and that boating was our favorite thing to do, we knew right then and there that Paradise could be a reality not just a dream! So we bought a beautiful lot on a canal with Gulf access and went home, sold our house, built our dream house, and now live in Paradise!
